Actually, I sort of view Cobalt as pansexual, at least in my headcanons. So gender has absolutely nothing to do with it: it's more personality that he's into. The inadequacy stems from his abandonment by his father (Tenma) and his inability to do most of the things his younger brother does, which also makes him feel like a crappy older brother for not protecting him better. But he also resents Atom a bit, a fact of which he is aware and deeply ashamed of. I mean, in comparison to everyone else, how could Cobalt not feel inferior?

That's actually how I view Atom to be except I prefer the term pan-romantic, as there is a huge difference between sex and romance. In my own little mental constructs of Atom I viewed him as one who verily could fall in love with someone but actually did not understand how sex applied to him so as such was asexual (and no not like an amoeba or plant). Then again the idea of robots and sex does not make much sense to me.

Eh, that's essentially what "pansexual" means, but I suppose that is more of an accurate description of it. At least, in this context. And really, I could easily picture all of them at least having an open mind, if not out and out pansexual. Or "panromantic", as it were.

Sorry about that, it is just gender studies and other related subjects coming through in me and my work in awareness, sometimes I can make things seem very alien to others if not right out confusing. Pansexual works just as well a panromantic in this sense.
