(I'll play Yuko since she's yet to be taken. Will try to rejump start this thread.)
Yuko strode into her bosses office with Momo in tow carrying a monumental load of files.
"Dr. O'Shay, I know you're probably busy right now, but it seems you've forgotten to sign this form. I've already reminded you twice about it and the committee is tired of hearing my excuses as to the delay. Oh, and of course there's the forms that came in just today, yesterday's that still need to be gone over, and order forms for next week that need to be filled out."
She deposited them on his desk unceremoniously.
"If you buckle down and do them, you should get done by Friday at the earliest."

Roleplays are very hard to keep alive, especially on forums.
On top of that, the bigger the game, the less the chance of success-- unless it's between people planning it IRL who share a great dedication and enthusiasm for the game. I know this from experience.
It's a shame, really; I would like a nice, fluid story game/RP. Especially if it involves Astro Boy, and me as my fine cybernetic self.
But look at it this way: You can have fun with it while it lasts.
So I'll give you some quick tips.
-It helps if you have something solid beforehand. Make it something plausible but simple, something people can work with.
-Live conference chat games on MSN or YIM work best.
-Never get OCs involved. Ever. You'll have a herd of Mary Sues trying to out-Sue each other in no time. I could tell a story about that-- it's quite funny.
-Don't get disappointed if it gets cut short. I know it sucks, but it happens.
If you'd like some help, I'd be happy to oblige......
If we can get a good game going, I'd love to be myself, heh.......

I agree with what Daichi on all of the above. It's a shame we can't do a Astro Boy RP on livejournal and link it here. I used to do a little role play a while back and that website worked best for it, plus you can make use of the avatars (15 free).
But, yeah.

A role play is where you and someone else play two characters in a scene and you both take turns on what to write.
An example, lets say you're Astro. You write him walking over to Cora and saying 'sup'
Then, someone has their turn but writes as Cora, stepping up to Astro and flicking his nose and replying 'whatever'
Really easy =D
