Thank you! I have to agree with Alittleacorn; you seem the most like 2003 Epsilon to me.

I always thought I was like Sapphire or Skunk Kusai. Maybe a mix of them...

Ok, I admit to having formerly been in the electronics field, but only as a technician. I earned my BA in humanities & psychology, though, after realizing that electronics was not really right for me.
:D

That may be so, but you seem to be the Forum "source" -- lots of detailed info (and always seeking more), great recall, very organized, computer geeky, y'know what I mean. Besides, if Tenma's desire was to create an "human" robot . . . I'm sure he would be well versed in psychology and humanities as well. I'm just saying.... :tenma: c'est toi![/QUOTE]
I am retired, so I have little better to do.

@ Fauna - Thank you too! Epsilon is a great character in the 2003 anime!

@ Jeffbert - two things: retirement is (in many ways) a real blessing and special opportunity. I'm watching three co-workers getting ready to take retirement packages. My path seems to be "bop 'til I drop." The idea of FREE TIME is precious to me, so yes, I envy (and idealize) those who are considered retired. It's what you DO with your life in retirement mode that can make such a difference. and that leads me to #2:

Your work on this forum and in creating English-language resources for a world-wide icon who (I firmly believe) will be MORE important as we move into the 21st Century is extraordinarily important. It's people like you and Todd Ferson* who are making it possible for the rest of us to connect/reconnect to Tezuka's wonderful characters and stories, and I hope you understand how critical your work is (whether you're retired or not)

But let's get back on topic!! Okay, so if Tenma doesn't ring your bell -- how about you suggest someone you feel aligned with -- and be careful or somebody is gonna suggest you are :hyo: !! ;)

*I called Todd Ferson back in 1989 to get information on how to order Astro Boy video tapes -- he had JUST BEGUN "The Right Stuf" and was as nice as could be -- there was no Internet then - I think I read about him in the NY Times or Wall St. Journal. He spoke with me for quite a long time, explaining how he basically found out that all these prints of Astro Boy were in the process of decaying. This whole project was a labor of love that had little to do with his career -- he did it because (like me) he LOVED Astro as a kid in the 60's, and felt compelled to save Dr. Tezuka's wonderful work. Your efforts to review all these episodes, and carefully record the workings of Tezuka's "star system" are really special. I'm not trying to embarrass you, only make sure you understand how one person can make an enormous difference. And I (for one) see you are doing that (and say "bravo!")

:hyo: - factoid -- you know what? A hoyton is a birdhouse gourd (I Googled it up, and sure enough, there's the goofy shape.). Tezuka created his character with the gourd upside down -- plus the real gourd "upper bulb" is much smaller that the top of Hyoutan-Tsugi's head. He really looks more like a piglet with boo-boos.

My inscription here is quite recent so I don't know much about the other persons in this forum, but I think Avatargirl could be perfect as Uran. Both are kind and sweet but sometimes they are a bit too carefree, Uran risking her own life and Ava risking to be banned from the forum.
I don't agree about Jeffbert as Dr. Tenma. Dr. Tenma is often rude and the moderator give me the idea of an extremely calm and relaxed person, I think he could be Dr Ochanumizu like it was said in the first post of the discussion.

But remember I said a BENEVOLENT Tenma! Besides I don't think Jeff would ever sell Astro to the circus!
