I wish I remembered the person's name. I know currently he's a professor or something of that nature right now. But he was actually 12 years old when he did the voice of Astro.

Steven Bednarski, I believe?

I had never watched that dub, so I only know his brother: he played in a very well-known Canadian series in the 80's (Lance et compte/He Shoots, He scores).

Astro Forever and Ghost are both correct!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Bednarski

Steven Bednarski was the voice of Astro on the Canadian dub and he is now Assistant Professor of History at St. Jerome's College in the University of Waterloo, specialising in crime in Medieval France, where he was honored this year with a distinguished teacher award.

MAYBE HE KNOWS WHERE WE COULD FIND CANADIAN AB EPISODES??

Here's what he looks like - as a boy and today:

Rare: As in it's not very common. There are only 3 episodes to my knowledge that you can actually watch on YouTube and there are no places where you can go and buy the Canadian version to my knowledge.

I don't know if that's what you're asking but rare is another word for uncommon.
No the exact same version was released in the Canada on DVD i know the 80's version is verry popular in canda but is it so much diffrent
and i never got why it wasn't so popular in the US i mean the things you see in american anime history are : The origional Astro Boy Gigantor Kimba the 8th man Speed racer Battle of the planets and so on but the best one of them all isn't even listed i heard it had something to do with the time it was on :o hmy:

However another country where that series was verry popluar was Australia and to my knowledge that has just the american track as well so that's a verry common thing just go for the thing that's easily obtainable i'm sure they are still out there.

I have the set but not checked it out yet because the only reason i bought that set was the extra content and the first 2 japanese episodes plus it looked really good.

This series was what got me really into tezuka the 2003 series i wachted first and i thougt it was just fine but this series blew me away.
