Cus we are huge Astro Boy fans too, maybe??? We also put this up on Mega Man fan sites. It is a tribute to both characters, even the 1 that loses. We are not suggesting Astro Boy is inferior to Mega Man in terms of quality, we explained both character's powers and then why the victory went to a certain character.

I'll just post what I wrote on the video on youtube but with more characters.
Why would they even fight in the first place?!
Even with all the specs I truly think that Atom would 'win' simply because of his strength and his ability to fly as well as his intelligence (even if it's the weakest incarnation of him). Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Rockman much more than Atom (though I love both) I feel that Atom would have the upper hand in this instance.
That and Rock seems to have ALL his abilities and support in this instance where Atom does not have all the powers that he had obtained throughout his adventures (because the weakest incarnation of him was used).
So this is unbalanced into Rock's favor; by using the weakest incarnation of Atom and by having a full-powered Rock (with help via Rush) it makes this hard to really consider.
Good job though, it was entertaining.

I think I would disagree that 2003 Astro is the weakest, rather he is probably the strongest.
Atom in 2003 does seem to be the most child like, the most lovable, and endearing. I don't know if they showed him with the butt guns in that one, but the Arm Cannons and finger lasers more than make up for it. The manga version of the 2003 Atom show him blasting out the side of a mountain with that Arm Cannon! (i think it is a particle beam weapon that shoots pure energy. Probably close to a Startrek Phaser)
The 2003 Atom rarely uses his arm jet/rockets (in the original manga he'd switch off between legs and arms, somtimes using a left arm and a right leg!) What the 2003 version seems to do is to reserve use of the arm jet/rockets for getting up to speed quickly, like a jet fighter switching to afterburners! No mention of speed, but I'll bet with both arm and legs going he's beyond hypersonic!
Also in every other incarnation, Atom is subject to running out of power. His power source isn't even mentioned in 2003, and we rarely see him even NEED to be refueled!
(I do recharge station in O'Shay's house).

I don't remember if the 2003 Astro's horsepower was ever mentioned. He could very well have a million HP. I think Tenma stated that Atlas was more powerful than Astro, but I don't know if he stated Atlas's power level.
As far as the 1963 version goes, does anybody know IF he was upgraded in the Anime? That would have happened in "The greatest robot in the world" episodes. If Strange Wings has the information in his write up we might know. Otherwise, we'd need someone who can understand spoken Japanese to translate the dialog from the anime. In the original Manga he WAS upgraded by Dr. Tenma. So it could depend on what happened in the Anime, and if you go by the manga or the anime.

I don't think he ever was upgraded in the anime renditions of TGROE. Tenma did those alterations in the manga and Tenma more or less vanished in the 1980s anime and was an 'enemy' in the 2003 version. In the 2003 version he DID want to give him a new body that probably DID have the one million horse power if we want to call it that.
I'm not sure about his upgrades in the 1963 anime.
