I think it ended with cloture, at least as far as Dorian's immediate future is concerned.

SPOILER:
The review board approved him for continued service. It could be that this was intended as the series end; though I suppose, if it had a sufficient audience, they might make a 2nd season.

The ending was very open ended. If the series did not get approval for a second season then that's a satisfactory ending - however if the series DOES get a second season we have something to go on and a great season one finale to look back on.

I'm glad that Dorian gets to be a cop still!

Did you happen to notice the evil name in the credits? If no 2nd season appears, we know who to blame. :D

Unfortunately the news we both feared as come... Almost Human has been cancelled.

However the fans are not about to let the show disappear without a good outcry and as such a petition has surfaced that will hopefully save the show. I'm not sure if these media petitions really work, but it's worth a try.

News as to why the show was cancelled is unconfirmed as information is a little shaky, it was confirmed however that it was not due to lack of ratings.

 I do not know why they would have any other reason for killing such a series; though there may be some, I think this series is inoffensive, its futuristic technology is not 1/2 as scary as its government is. :hyo:

It's really baffling as well to me as to why they decided to axe such a great show. It was great as it had a disabled man suffering from PTSD as a main character as well as a great non-stereotyped POC character as a second protagonist along with several great female characters that were really rounding out as the season went on.

I did a little research and apparently the reason why they axed the show was because of money allocation BS.

:o hmy: They just ran out of Money? :p irate: O.k., given that the show has a certain amount of special effects & such-- but still, they must have gathered enough sponsors, or why start at all? ;)

I have been trying to find out why this show was cancelled and so far it has been difficult. So far all I have been able to find out is that FOX just didn't WANT to renew it. I think the executives of FOX felt that the show cost too much money and maybe they would have wanted to allocate that money to some other show than Almost Human.

The ratings really were not that bad at all as demonstrated here on this diagram. True the viewership was not spectacular but it certainly was not a failure. Though the viewership does seem to have a steady decline as the show went on. This probably was not helped by the fact that FOX chose to show the episodes out of order so that the underlying and main plot was unable to be understood easily.

So Almost Human is turning into a Firefly event it looks like.

Reason: diagram and fixing my speech because I don't know my native language
