Expedition to Mars is the second episode of the 1960 series. It was first broadcast in Japan on January 15th 1963
Plot
Astro Boy flying with the strange spaceship.
When the first expedition to Mars fails because of a mutiny by the crew, Astro is appointed commander of the second expedition. His own crew grows rebellious because he is a robot, however, when his chief officer cut his safety rope, when a strange spaceship crashed onto their rocket, Astro Boy went to investigate only to realize that his safety rope has been cut.
