Maria

Maria is a character who reoccurred in a few versions of the series, but debuted in the original manga.

Maria first appeared in the Blue Knight story. She is the sister of Blue Knight and Tonto, created by Dr. Los.

Count Burg proposes to marry Maria because she is so beautiful, excepting her from his hatred of robots. However, Maria's objections to Count Burg's cruelty to other robots soon lead to her being abused by him as well, eventually resulting in her getting smashed to pieces.

Maria appears in the 1999 short film, although briefly. She is mentioned and shown during a flashback when Blue Bon is describing events from the past including his family and the cruelty humans have displayed towards robots.

The character was voiced by Miho Yamada in the film.¹⁾

• Livian had a similar role to Maria in the 1980s TV series.
